The library's Antiques Appraisal Clinic is between 10 am and 5 pm on Tuesday, August 4.  The library is hosting this event to coincide with the 46th Annual Antique Show & Sale, hosted by the Mackinaw Woman's Club, which is held across the street at the school. 

All appraisals are by appointment only, so please call ahead to schedule. 

An appraiser from DuMouchelle's of Detroit will be available at the library to provide verbal appraisals for items brought in by attendees.

Computer Media Class 

The Mackinaw City Library has just received a grant from the Northeastern Michigan Council of Governments to offer social media classes to the public, free of charge. Attend Classes in the Library about the most popular social media sites, how to keep yourself safe, and integrate your accounts. To accommodate computer users with different levels of experience, classes are offered at beginner and intermediate levels. Each level will cover the basics, sign-up, set-up, safety, privacy, and integration. The intermediate levels will simply cover these topics at a faster pace.

This Year our theme is "Every Day Heros"  Each program will be learning about people around us that are helping others every day.  The programs are designed with Elementary age students in mind but are open to children of any age.  Early registration is not required by R.S.V.P.'s are greatly appreciated for the sake of planning.  Programs, Dates and times vary between each branch.  Look now and plan ahead!

Summer Minecraft Build Dates


This summer we will have one build date a month.


 Wednesday, July 8th and August 5th from 3 until 5 p.m. in the community room.

You need to bring a device that is charged and already has the Minecraft app installed.  Sign up is limited to the first 12 registered.  If you would like to register or have questions please contact us at 231-436-5451.
