Attend classes at the library to learn about the most popular social media sites, how to keep yourself safe, and integrate your accounts.    To accommodate computer users with different levels of experience, classes are offered at beginner and intermediate levels.  Each level will cover the basics, sign-up, set-up, safety, privacy and integration.  The intermediate level will simply cover these topics at a faster pace.

Classes are brought to the community free via a grant from Northeastern Michigan Council of Governments, and taught by area resident and IT professional, Joshua Bova.   Mr. Bova has been in the IT field for 15 years, 3 1/2 of which was in schools, meaning a lot of social media exposure.  He is an active user of all forms of social media, and supports users on almost a daily basis helping them use social media on multiple device platforms.  Also, Josh has engineered, configured and maintained networks with over 1000 workstations and is experienced in security issues.

Registration required. Email Mary at Please be prepared to answer questions about computer experience so the class can be designed around your needs. For more details, contact the Mackinaw Library 231-436-5451 or the Bliss Library 231-537-2927.
